Pandemonium as Wild Monkey follows farmer back to his house in Cross River state (Photos)

There was reportedly commotion in a village in Cross river state last weekend after a gorilla living in the wild met a farmer in the bush and followed him home. It was reported that residents of Bitiah Irruan village in Boki LGA of Cross river State all gathered at the farmer’s home to witness and see the animal for themselves as many said such incident has never happened before. Trying to figure out why the gorilla followed the farmer home, some said it was possible the animal no longer had food in the bushes, so he followed the man home, hoping to get food from there. Others insinuated it could be a sign of favour to the farmer, another said the gorilla lost his way while moving from Bumaji village to Bitiah where an NGO takes care of them. 3 Teenagers have been Caught for Sleeping With a 14-year-old girl

Three teenagers who slept with a girl of 14-year-old secondary school pupil, have been detained by men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The suspects are; Osamudiamen Stephen, Osabuohien Aghimien, and Victory Osayomwan were paraded at NSCDC headquarters after the victim of the family caught them. Osabuohien, a mechanic apprentice, claimed the victim was his girlfriend, adding that he took her to the home of his friend for the night. He said his friends made a request to have se.x with the girl and she agreed. “I was there when they had se.x with her. When my friend said he wanted to go in again, she agreed. NDDC SHOULD COLLABORATE WITH STATES, NOT COMPETE – GOVERNOR AYADE

The Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade, has stressed the importance of collaboration between the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, and the different levels of government in the development of the Niger Delta region. Governor Ayade spoke when members of the Board and Management of NDDC paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Calabar on Thursday. The visiting NDDC team included the Chairman of the Governing Board, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, the Managing Director, Mr. Nsima Ekere, the Executive Director Finance and Administration, Mr Mene Derek, the Executive Director Projects, Engr. Jamb Suspends Use of NIN for 2020 JAMB Registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has said it decided to suspend the use of the National Identification Number as requirements for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry registration due to technical issues and stakeholders’ concerns. The UTME and DE registration is scheduled to begin on January 13 and end on February 17. Announcing this at a press conference in Abuja on Saturday, JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, said technical issues regarding the registration system at the National Identification Management Commission was a major reason for the suspension.

Davido wants to become a Nollywood Actor

In what looks like a Nollywood move to follow in the footsteps of other Musical Artistes like Banky W, Ikechukwu, Vector and 2Baba, that tried their acting skills in Nollywood, Davido has also just debuted his acting career in a yet to be released Nollywood movie titled “The Legend At 60”. A preview shared on his social media timeline, today, portrayed Davido as a highly skilled commercial pilot who has a lot of money to spend. The movie also features veteran reggae artiste Majek Fashek, whose music career Davido’s character tries to revive. It could be too early to decide if Davido would perform extraordinarily well in the movie. Musa posed to be a threat but he was put at bay by the Congolese as the tie ended at one all.
